Founded by surfer and filmmaker Rob Beedie in 2007, Global Surf Network was built around a simple idea: keep surf culture thriving by sharing the stories, films, and people that make it special. Inspired by a lifelong passion for surf movies that began in the 1960s, GSN brings independent surf films, festivals, and events to audiences who appreciate the creativity, history, and spirit of surfing. Whether it's a surf film screening, live event, or community gathering, the goal is always the same: keep the stoke alive and connect surfers through the stories that bring our culture together.

The Global Surf Network actively champions independent surf culture across local, regional, national, and international stages. By organizing dedicated film festivals, the organization provides a vital platform for independent filmmakers to showcase unique coastal stories.
